Services
Manual Therapy
• Progressive and careful manual mobilisation of the joints and soft tissue, to increase mobility and reduce pain
• This may include other techniques such as stretching and manipulation
• Conditions in which manual therapy would be beneficial include back pain, neck pain and joint injuries.
Sports Injuries
• The Chartered Physiotherapist is a specialist in assessing and treating Sports Injuries.
• The early assessment and treatment of sports injuries, followed by a personal rehabilitation programme to suit each individual’s needs, will maximise the recovery, reduce the injury time and prevent relapse.
• A biomechanical assessment will ensure that other potential causes are identified and this will prevent reoccurrence of the injury.
Orthotics
• Biomechanical problems can occasionally lead to pains in feet, knees, hips and back.
• We can assess the different joints and treat the dysfunction.
• If necessary your Physiotherapist can prescribe a custom made device which can correct and maintain an optimum position of your feet, which will treat mechanical dysfunction and help prevent further injuries.
Fall Prevention Programme
• Patients suffering from a decrease in mobility, recurrent falls or a decline in their independence can benefit from a mobility and fall prevention assessment.
• A personal rehabilitation programme will reduce the risk of falling and increase mobility.
• The programme may include different techniques, with the use of balance exercises, correction of gait pattern, Cardio Vascular exercise and the provision of walking aids if necessary.
• A couple of sessions can significantly improve your mobility, balance and independence.
