All routine consultations are by appointment only. For you and your doctor to get to know each other, and for continuity of care, we encourage you to keep to the same doctor. We feel that continuity results in the delivery of care to the highest possible standard. Please let the receptionist know who your usual doctor is when you ask for an appointment.
For URGENT issues we keep a few short appointments available on the day. If these are full we will do our best to book you in. However this may mean a wait and you may have to see the first available GP (which may not be your usual doctor).
If you cannot attend an appointment, we do ask that you please contact the surgery as soon as possible in order to allow another patient to be seen.
House Calls/Home Visits
If you are too unwell or housebound and you require a home visit, please telephone the surgery on 025 52000.
We ask that you please try to come into the surgery where possible as we are limited in the amount of calls we can do.
If possible home visits should be requested before 11.00 a.m.
If you require a visit in an emergency, ring the usual surgery number 025 52000.
The doctors and nurses are not normally interrupted during a consultation with another patient unless in an emergency.
If you wish to speak to a specific doctor or nurse, your contact details will be taken so that the doctor or nurse can ring you back when they are free. This is likely to be at the end of a surgery, or before the start of a subsequent one unless it is an emergency situation.
